Newcomer / Intro Advice? (BH, money and what nots)

Very new to the game, only a few days in. For the most of it I was doing "missions" from the bulletin board and exploring signals. I Decided to buy a Viper with my hard earned cash and focus on Bounty hunting (for the most part) The ship is still basically stock (I upgraded the FSD) but I am wondering what you might recommend to make some faster cash than randomly looking for signals. I have read people find extraction points and milk those but i'm not sure my ship is equipped to handle those yet. I really have no idea. (and as far as I have read, the vulture seems the next ship I should am for?)

Advice is always welcome!

your ship is definitely equipped for RES extraction points.
There are various ships from Sideys to Anacondas - maybe you do not want to immediately take up the latter, but the former you can easy take down. And of course much in between.

It is not a war zone - you will be the one doing the shooting and not be the one being shot at constantly.

What I would suggest is equipping a kill warrant scanner for BH if you haven't done so already. It will help a lot with your income. Remember to scan ships first before attacking them and, like said above, don't punch above your weight, at least in the beginning. Also, read about jurisdictions to understand how bounties work and where you should cash in different bounties:

Most important upgrade should probably be the power distributor, enabling you to fire weapons for longer before overheating and boost more often.

Thank you everyone! I started to explore the RES and I I understand now, I had to look up the kill warrant scanner but Iget it now. I will upgrade my power distributor asap!
