Advice needed for NewGen games console purchase.

So... some detailed info
I didn't play any FPS games on PS1/PS2, well that require thumbs stick and trigger controls. I played FPS game on PC and it took until Halo3/CoDMW2 to get used to that control method on gamepads. I really like the XBox 360 controller, I don't really like the PS3 controller, both for their ergonomic design for the controllers.

I have waited for the dust to settle for the New Generation consoles (Xbox One,PS4) and after searching about a bit I have found that the PS4 is selling better and seems like the more powerful of the two. PS4 seems to be the overall winner in most reviews...

Not too bothered about exclusives, as long as either don't get a exclusive TES game or CoD... Been playing Destiny beta on Xbox360, on which it plays like complete *insert favourite adult word here*, the beta runs best on PS4 (only full HD version)...

The Xbox one seems like it has a better controller, I could get used to a PS4 controller layout as long as the triggers are better than the PS3 pad. The Sony machine seems like the better option... but one last issue I have is that all my RL casual player friends are going Xbox one, but the hardcore are going PS4... hmmm

Oh wait... one more, I promise... What console do you have? (what one did you have before?)

Thanks for any related info!

i have PS4 (i also have ps3/xbox360), but i will not buy Xbox1, at least not in nearest future.

more or less the consoles are same, both have blue-rays, games have same prices and release dates usually are same so really it's just matter of your preference.

PS4 is a little better, it has little more power and price is lower, it has ps+ (very neat feature, not much PS4 games are there but in time it will change, there were many great ps3 titles, dead space 3, far cry 3, dragons dogma etc. every month will come couple new games - probably first PS4 title there will be driveclub as currently ps+ only brings indie PS4 titles that are not what i play). PS4 runs more games natively in full HD than X1 (resizes to 1080p from lower resolutions).

the one big thing is that you can change HDD in your PS4 and insert there SSD drive and you know what a difference it makes on loading times, in Xbox1 you cannot change HDD.

overall i would buy PS4, but i like ps4 controller better than xbox one and also PS4 has no power brick :)
