I'd replace the c3 turrets with gimbals. If you expect to fight players, make one of them fixed. You have the power to make them beams, btw. Another thing I'd do is to replace the 6A scoop with a 64T cargo rack, placing the scoop in one of the c4 slots. It'll be good enough to get around the bubble. The rest of the compartments can then be used for whatever you want - SCB's, more cargo, FSD interdictor, etc.

I'm also not sure about that armor. I'd either use mirrored surface or military grade. Or just leave it off the ship entirely, taking advantage of your speed and maneuverability instead.

Taking the mirrored or military does help with the jump range.....I will try that also...
Have a vulture and have had the canopy knocked out a couple of times...the clipper has a huge canopy (just a bit concerned that it would be easier to knock out)..
Exciting....but not fun....running back to base with a broken canopy

I don't think armor will protect your canopy one way or the other. Logically, it shouldn't work, as putting armored bulkeads over your canopy would defeat the purpose of having it :) Also, armor doesn't protect subsystems. I really don't think it'll prevent canopy damage.

But on the bright side, I took my Clipper into combat quite a lot and never once lost my canopy. Had it cracked on other ships, outright lost it on my Asp once, but on the Clipper it never took a single dent. When you look at it, the ship's a huge target and the canopy is tiny in comparison, at an angle that doesn't make it's target profile very big, and it's also off center from any parts of your ship the enemy will be targeting.

Handsome little alternative.

The Clipper can easily outrun seeking Missiles, so I do not use a PDS. But you can swap it for the KWS if you prefer.
The little energy reserve is for switching to the PulseLaser/Railgun Layout.
FS, FSI, FSD and CH are on low Priority for being disabled when hardpoints are deployed.
Only one of the SCBs is kept active (put them on middle Priority to avoid accidently shutting your whole ship off when hastely switching them mid combat)
You can even swap the extra Fuel Tank for a 3rd SCB if you like, or even increase your cargohold to 72.
I actually go without a Fuel Scoop at all and just use the 2 Class 3 Spots to double my initial Fuel capacity (me too lazy for scooping)
.
I never had use for extra Bulkheads in my Clipper. If the Shields are going down and the SCBs are depleted, it's time to leave the stage.
Whatever can keep up with you, can't Mass Lock you, so make use of this great speed of yours.
There is no possible gain in a fight to risk those 6+ Millions Re-Buy.
.
Cheers,
Nuit
