Advice on Orang-Utang Climbing frames

Hello fellow zookeepers,

I would like to ask if anybody knows how you have to design climbing frames for Orang-Utangs so they will actually use them.
The filter for accessability shows me that my constructions are climable, and I even placed enrichment items, an arboreal feeding platform and sleeping piles on platforms that are part of the climbing frame. However, my Orang-Utang still exclusively stays on the ground of his habitat.

I'd appreciate any advice or feedback,
Kind regards

Can you send some Pictures so I can see what Problems there might be with it?
Ropes aren't usable by Orangutans and Gorillas due to a Bug that if I remember correctly already is in the Game since the Australia Pack. They show up as climbable on the Heatmap but they can't use them anyways.
Sadly Climbing Structures are also sometimes weird and can't be climbed even though they are connected to the Ground.
One Thing that might help with Problems is to delete the Structure and then undo the Action to reset the traversable Area

Aha, I didn't knew ropes were bugged for them, that explains everything since I used ropes for almost any connection between the poles and plattforms ...
Many thanks for the reply, although i am saddened that my work is now useless:cry:
Do you also happen to know if they can use lianas?
Don't know if it's the same with Lianas and I can't test it currently due to a defective Computer. I think though to have seen them use them in my Orangutan Breeding Center. Not entirely sure though because it's a long Time since I've played in that Park.
You can easily test it though by making 2 Areas in a Enclosure that are separated by Water or something else that can't be crossed, put the Lianas there as a Connection and then compare it to the traversable Area before you've put them there

I finally managed to do some testing.
The Orang Utangs were separated from a part of their enclosure by a water-filled moat as described by Urufu1997.
Both ropes and lianas crossing the moat were shown as climable, but the sparated part of the enclosure was not shown as traversable area.
I suppose this cofirms that the climibing of orang utangs is broken in regards to ropes and lianas.
Hopefully, there will be a fix to this some day, it really limits you to the massive wooden climbing frames.

Sad to read that they also can't use Lianas anymore 😕
I really hope we'll someday get a Gibbon with Brachiation and that they notice and fix the Problem then. Ropes just need to be in a Orangutan Enclosure 🦧
