Advice on paddocks.

So in my game, I’m going to try and recreate the film version of Jurassic Park and the dinosaurs that they had on that island. Now I know we haven’t had the full list of available dinosaurs yet for the game, but we do have a few that have been confirmed that were, or were planned to be on the island.

I’ve actually been planning in my head how my park will be laid out and what dinosaurs will be in a particular paddock. So obviously the Brachiosaurs will be with the Parasaurs. But it got me thinking about certain carnivores. I only plan on having one T-Rex, but for the Metriacanthosaurus and Baryonyx (more than likely in the game) I’m not sure how many to have of their respective species together. Are they better off alone or in a small group?

I personally would have a different paddock for each species of Carnivores. Though we have seen footage of some that can live together, but how well? we have no idea.

You can look ate the stats of your dinosaur it will tell you if your dinosaur is lonely, like it showed with the Struthiomimus in the demo gameplay.

Ahh awesome. That will be a big help. I can’t see the large carnivores wanting to have company though.

If my struthiomimus was like I'm lonely I would say ok. I will make a Dinosaur friend for you. How about a T-Rex. That should keep your mind off being lonely.

How about two siblings for medium to large sized carnivores?

That’s what I was thinking, anymore it might not look right. Definitely only
Having one T-Rex though. Anyone remember how many Raptors were on Nublar 93? Was it 3?

Originally we had eight, but the big one killed them all except for two. - Robert Muldoon (side note I have never seen the movie in english and translated from the german quote)

Oh yes I remember now. Well 3 raptors in my park then :)

Wasn’t that Isla Sorna? Site B.

No it was Isla Nublar, there's a quote from the novel:

"Interesting," Grant said. "I was just digging up an infant antirrhopus. Are there any full-grown raptors here?"

"Yes," Ed Regis said without hesitation. "Eight adult females. The females are the real hunters. They're pack hunters, you know."

You beat me to it. As well we don't know how many wild ones they had either.
