Im just wanting a little advice on some combat ships . . . I'm not exactly what you could call a danger haha but I'm enjoying it so wondered what would be a good ship to get and kit up for getting out there and getting some notches under my belt. o7 cmdr's 

For sharpening your combat skills on a budget the Eagles are hard to beat. Fast and maneuverable, even faster and more maneuverable when A-rated and engineered the Eagles are optimized for small-ship combat. Many CMDRs will say an Eagle is poorly armed but this is not necessarily true. An Eagle is small, lightweight and well armed for its size. An Eagle forces the CMDR to polish up their combat maneuvering and shooting skills (and power management), as opposed to larger ships that rely on firepower insteads of skills to defeat their opponents. Plain Eagle or Imperial is CMDRs choice, I have both but prefer the plain-Jane Eagle. Later, as your combat skills increase you may want to move into a medium-scale combat ship like the Fer De Lance but in the beginning since your ship will probably be blown up multiple times as you improve your combat skills it is much less expensive to get blown up in an Eagle than it is to be blown up in a FerDL or Anaconda. o7

Two words. Federal Corvette. Kidding, but I find the most fun ships to be the smaller ones. Go for a Viper or Eagle first then work up to a Vulture.
