Ships Advice on SRB rail FDL.

So I watched Hazmango’s video of the SRB rail FDL, but It didn’t go into the full build. Anyone got one I could look at? Thanks.

1)build FdL with your preferenced shield setup (bi-weave, prismatic, whatever)
2)slap on 4 SRB rails 2/2 feedback/superpen, and a thermal vent beam iirc.
3)???
4)pew pew profit

I'm probably being spectacularly dense, but what does "SRB" mean in this context?

The only thing my brain associates with those initials is Solid Rocket Boosters, and I know it's not that...

SRB means short range blaster. In this particular instance, short range blaster rail guns. They are often used with a huge overcharged multicannon with corrosive on the FDL. It's a tricky build because the best engineering involves a bi weave shield generator, which in a dense asteroid field is very dicey for the average PvPer. One crash with a rock takes out two rings of shields, whereas the more commonly used prismatic shield will not even lose the first ring. In my experience, the pip management of a bi-weave shield is more active than on a prismatic shield. The railguns also work best within 1 km. However, the advantage is that 1. rail guns are hitscan, which means you can't dodge them 2. when your canopy breaks you can use the mouse widget to aim perfectly 3.they are impervious to target lock breaker experimentals 4. they are impervious to silent running 5.they are super duper fun. o7
