Advocacy v Orion university

If there are laws protecting uncontacted communities such as the Scrivengers Clan from disruption and by their own admission Orion university is aware of them, they have knowingly endangered the society by overriding their ability to jump illegally. The Orion university megaship that is being used to hold these people hostage is also stopping them from harvesting the resources they need to sustain their habitat and live with their legal rights to autonomy. In essence; Orion university claims legal ownership of the Dredger where the Scrivengers reside yet have broken many other laws to obtain it. Endangering an uncontacted society in such a way is more than unethical, it is an abuse to the rights of those being endangered as stated in the Galnet feed.

At least 20 fleet carriers including mine, Valley Forge, are in the Oochost PC-C c29-0 system standing by to assist...as soon as there is something we can do to have a positive impact for these poor oppressed souls. I'm amazed there is no official representation, advocacy or force being brought to bear against the illegal operations of the Orion University here. What can we independent pilots do to force the Scientia Aeterna megaship out of the system?

Dumping raw material cargo - ores, water, liquid oxygen, food, etc. - into the dredger maw has been suggested as a way to break the siege, or at least let the Scriveners survive a bit longer.

Destroying Orion security forces en masse (watch out for the megaship's own guns, obviously) might help put a negative BGS state - Lockdown, Civil Unrest, Terrorism, Infrastructure Failure, etc. onto the megaship, which might help encourage them to move. Though it's possible, as it's a zero population system, that the system can't be given BGS states. If you try it for a couple of days and the security state doesn't move off dead-centre neutral on the slider, it probably isn't workable.

I thought of attacking the security forces, might give it a go next time in game. I'm hearing dumping raw materials is resulting in fines from Orion University......lol, so they make money...

I've played with BGS and forced states before, but you may be right about the zero population issue. Worth trying if nothing else.

For those interested I killed some time mining the massive ring at body AB1 which provided some very good yields of valuable minerals...
