Aegis: Project Orion

The CMDRs of the Aegis Archons squadron have been hard at work preparing for the next phase of Xeno Research in the Orion Nebula.

It has been apparent that additional infrastructure is needed in the Aegis Reaearch's primary research outpost at PMD2009 48. Thus the CMDR's of the AGIS Aegis Archons and the ReAegis Coalition have been working hard since February's Trailblazer release, to expand infrastructure out towards PMD2009 48.

Aegis Imperium, with the support of Aisling Duval, has led the charge in this endeavor. Though Aegis of Federal Democrats, under Winters banner, have also lent their aid and support. Even the Mechagii Group Corporation and the mysterious squadron, Ancilla Vacui, have helped out greatly!

As we look to the future in the stars, we ask any able bodied haulers to join our efforts. Many hands make a light load and Aegis needs your support! We must be prepared for the NEXT Xeno conflict, armed with even better understanding of the universe, continuing to push the bounds of our technology and knowledge.

Join Aegis, secure the future of humanity today!

Phase 1: Witch Head Bridge = 55.69%
We have achieved over 50% of our journey towards Witch Head Nebula. Come join the fun and help Aegis build a bridge between the bubble and Witch Head!

Its just a little job they said, just haul some cargo.
You said a few ports under construction. At least the pay is great.
OH were recording, Tell them what they could win... wait no that wasn't my line

"Thats right if you join now you too could be living it up in the near future in the Witch Head Nebula, the finest nebula this side of the bubble. With the cozy little view of the nearby region the WitchHead is set to be the trendy new hot spot for the up and coming commanders this summer season."

Ok , that good, ok well thats gonna have to do
Just edit out the other stuff in post.

Other than a possible evacuation corridor in case Thargoid aggression in that nebula flares up again (after what happened with the rescue megaships near Sol, bringing them next to the stations in the old way might be too risky), are there plans in case that colonization endeavor comes under… ‘scrutiny’, by our flowery space neighbors?

Definitely not asking because the Witch Head Thargoids were the upstarts that decided to take offense at the local human population, during the Titan incursion.

I recently visited many of the inhabited systems in Witch Head. Colonies there are struggling and having a hard time after the Thargoid attacks. Many are deserted or still functioning but under evacuation orders. They could surely use all the help they can get.

Hopefully there won't be the problem of Bernards loop, where the 15 ly colonization distance limit makes it difficult to approach.

Sadly, not much can be done to help those affected colonies because (dropping roleplay hat for a moment) Frontier has those stations in the relevant systems marked as “Abandoned” while it overall remains under human control in a weird limbo state.

So, they’re not taking material deliveries for repairs nor can any evacuation work be conducted. It’d take for somebody at Frontier to remember they forgot about it and flip the relevant switch. Or at least provide a reasoning why it remains in that limbo, but I have the tinfoil theory they sort of just hoped players would forget they (possibly) accidentally hit the off switch for the Thargoid attacks in the nebula before they were ready for it.

This is a scientific endeavor, I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong.....

I'm very interested in the Witch Head Nebula region. There are some Fleet Carriers in the area. Please let me know if I can assist.
We are currently working on system Synuefe OP-M d8-52.

If you have a carrier and are willing to make materials available we are asking participants to just set buy/sell at Galactic Average (gives haulers a little profit both buying or selling then).

If you don't have a carrier, then loading or unloading carriers is welcomed to help keep the Colonization moving forward!
