Hardware & Technical Affordable laptop: Suggestions?

I'd love a second monitor to use for things like Inara, Discord, etc., while playing Elite.

But I simply don't have room for a whole new monitor.

What I can fit in my space though, is a small laptop on my bed, which is right next to my desk.

Now I'm wondering. Can anyone suggest a good cheap model? Specs really mean nothing, as this laptop will only be used for forums, discord, etc. Nothing intensive on this machine. :)

That's the thing.

Steam does quite a good job now with its in home streaming function. But I think it requires a windows PC so a Chromebook wouldn't really cut the mustard so to speak.

Probably not what you require...

But for ED in bed...

Oh no, you misunderstand.

All I want it for is forums, Discord, and word processing. Nothing else.

No gaming will be done on this machine, of any sort.
