African Animal Pack

Hey Frontier, considering the next DLC is Africa, and the four animals we know of, people don't believe that this is enough to cover Africa, and I would imagine that there could be a DLC and an Animal Pack alongside one another, and Africa Pack and an African Animal Pack. Myself and another person have created a pack based off of San Diego Zoo's Africa Rocks, with about half represented in that exhibition, but there are other species not at that exhibition in this pack concept too. I do have a concept with 10 animals but this one is scaled down to 8.

Animals: African Leopard, Dwarf Crocodile, Gelada, Fossa, Serval, Addax, Secretary Bird and Jackson's Three-Horned Chameleon
I only ask that to appease fans this Summer, we need two packs to cater to both sides, an Animal Pack for the people who want animals over building pieces, and a DLC with building pieces and new scenery items to appease those who still require new building pieces. Just think about this idea.

Your list is... kinda boring honestly... two cats and a cat-like mammal... a random crocodile no one has heard of... higher demand options being ignored in favor of their lower equivalents... it's just all-around meh if you ask me... honestly, the only super interesting animal on that list is the secretary bird...

Are you suggesting that they give us two DLC at the same time? I don't think that would ever happen and it would take them more time to create them.

If you meant to have a second African pack in the future, then it's ok.

I appreciate your optimism but they aren't going to be changing the model of the dlc. And @Aramar is also correct, we won't be getting two in the same quarter. They've probably already planned out what dlc they're doing for the third and fourth quarters as well, so unless they're doing two Africa dlcs this year (which I doubt) we wouldn't see this until 2022.

As much as I would like to see even more animals, I dont see Frontier adding more than what we had in SEA animal pack. So 7+1 format would be more likely scenario in this unlikely situation (having 2 dlcs at the same time).

Then, Colobus Monkey, Caracal, Sifaka, B. Mamba, Kudu, Addex, Barbary Sheep, Eland, Water Buck, Topi, Gelada, Armored Ground Cricket, Brown Hyena, Stripped Hyena, Black Rhino, Grey Crowned Crane, Marabu Stork

I think it would make sense to divide Africa into more than one pack, probably like Asia (I don't think there would be an other reason to call it SEA, if there wouldn't be a division).
As there we will get some North African building pieces, I would be really happy if we would get 4 animals from this region (potentially Arabia could also be included in this pack). For animals I would take:
  • Fennec fox
  • Sand cat/caracal (if Arabian peninsula would not be included)
  • Scimitar-horned oryx (Dromedary, Addax and Dama gazelle would be fine too)
  • Crested porcupine
  • Spiny tailed lizard

For Southern Africa I would there should be definitely a animal pack
  • White rhino
  • Meerkat
  • African penguin
  • Lechwe/waterbuck
  • Secretary bird
  • Fossa
  • Coquerel's Sifaka
  • Panther chameleon

For the last pack I would merge West, Central and East Africa, but there could be pack for every region separately. So, this would be an other animal pack.
  • Black rhino
  • Red river hog
  • Gerenuk
  • "stork" (Shoebill, Saddle-billed stork, marabou, a crowned crane could be a possibility too)
  • Hamadryas baboon
  • Great white pelican
  • Guineafowl (would love a vulturine)

The only thing I would be missing for Africa then would be maybe a colobus, a hyrax and specially some vultures, but only if they will be able to fly.

African leopard I agreed but why not any of the African rhino species?

If we get content for years (past 2022), I'd be fine with Africa being revisited after the "rumored" pack comes out since the animals in that rumored pack are the the more highly requested African animals. not before then though. Prefer an animal pack, and at that point I'd be okay with another Giraffe and a Black Rhino. I'd like to see at least a wading bird or two, the crested or cape porcupine, red river hog and, if we don't have an Asian true leopard, the African Leopard. that's all assuming of course none of those are covered in some other release.

I think there is a great chance that we will revisit Africa with an animal only pack in the future. If we get the leaked pack with the next DLC which would bring us great animals in my opinion there are still so much possibilities of African animals. It really would be strange if this continent which could rarely be done by 3 dlcs would end with only 4+1 further animals.

Dont forget the honey badgers! I wish we got at least one species of badger. Also would like to see bat eared fox but that is unlikely if we are getting fennec foxes (which I love).

I always forget them! They're even in my top 20 wants, and I still forget them. They should be included just so I don't forget about them anymore. :ROFLMAO:
