After a year. Finally got the corvette.

distributor can sustain 4-5 medium mining lasers - get as many active collector limpets as possible.

even d-grade it is an amazing miner, if you park it in a pristine metallic ring system!

grats & enjoy

Boom. Finally. So what's some load out suggestions? Combat ship intended.

Congrats. My favorite ship without question. Enjoy.

Well I'm no elite combat expert. But personally I use two huge multi gimbal. One large gimbal multi. The rest are pulse turrets. And I rip ships up pretty fast. That's without engineers. After engineer the corvette just becomes insane.

Ugh, I'm playing since GPP and am still miles away from a Conda.
I know, trading isn't my strongest point and exploring just doesn't make you rich real fast.
To many fun things to do in this game besides making credits :)

Congrats!
Loadout for combat was is either 2 Huge Beams, rest MCs or ALL MCs engi'd with Incendiary and only 1 Corrosive

Both those melt ships

The big weapon gimballed Multicannon + small weapon turreted pulses is a popular setup, and for good reason. Not sure anything can really compete with it. Especially when you can add some thermal damage to your multicannons so they take down shields.

Personally, I went all burst, all the time (huge gimballed burst lasers, small turreted burst lasers), but it was just for a goof, wouldn't recommend it. Main reason was that I wanted to run a setup that wasn't multicannons for a change, since there still aren't very many alternatives that can compete with the setup. The same old loadout gets old after a while.

That's the load out I was considering for sure. Does it handle two huge beams well? I bought it last night haven't even undocked it yet.

Ha! Excited for you. Do you have any other big ships? I think it took me a couple weeks before I was able to make it through the mail slot without taking some paint off.

Ya I have a stripped down conda with 51ly jump range I use to get around and trade with. It used to be a combat vessel but I love it to much as a mover haha. Been using a python for pew pew.

I'm prob the slowest big ship thru the slot tho.

I like both, mostly so you're not being destroyed by some Eagle that's always hiding in your blind spot.

Generally, I lIke turrets on my small/medium hardpoints. They're not doing much damage anyway against bigger ships due to damage reduction, so you want those hard points for more nimble shops that can evade your front firing arc. Hence, turrets.

For the large/huge, then go with fixed 9r gimballed, depending on how you do with them.

I literally just got my anaconda a years(on and off) worth of work. But I got my last 40mil from robigo. I used to be a CZ combat bond kinda guy but I just can not compete with the AI these days. Or the spawn 7ships on my puny little eagle.

Very well, especially with a grade 3 WEP distributor upgrade. As for effects, all depends on how you play. I run thermal Vent to keep the ship cool.

Having small and medium turrets lasers are nice to have, BUT if I hit someone in less than a medium ship; they don't last long.

I used to run Huge MCS and Turreted Pulses with a large beam on the bottom, but it felt lacking even with incendiary on one and corrosive.

After some modding with Engis, it truly becomes a Warship!

Fun is infinitely more important than credits. I ground credits at times cause I could, but neglecting to do so never precluded me from fun. That said, big expensive ships are a different kinda fun, worth checking out at some point. But don't worry about breaking your neck to get there. Which you clearly aren't so all good ;)

That's true, with hard work I got my Conda recently and put my GPP decal on it. So, now I can explore more with 50ly jumps.

Keep flying CMDR!

That's the only reason I want to get a Conda eventually, to build my ultimate explorer.
Right now I'm cruising around getting materials to engineer my A spec Python, my aim is to explore a bit more in style, the AspX's cockpit can get a bit claustrophobic at times.

Although the big ships look extremely cool, they're not that appealing to me, they're either cargo or combat orientated, the two things that aren't my strongest points.
I like exploring and running BB missions, with some good engineering my Python should be able to fulfill both those roles nicely.

Still getting to the point to be able to buy a Corvette, if that's your goal, then a congratulation is in place, it's a very expensive ship to get and to maintain, the rebuy is huge, kudos to you OP!!

Fly save o7

I never felt like I was getting anywhere with the Corvette until I put MC's on the Huge hp's

Now it chews thing up really fast.

Still a bit of an odd duck for me as I feel like I can get faster kills in my FDL

Probably just my flying style as I know many very experienced CMDR'd that prefer to use the Corvette in a CZ over the FDL

Corvette is great for CZ...it can soak up large amounts of damage while murdering stuff. Good times :)

On the down side, that large hardpoint is in a horrible position, I've always had difficulty getting the best out of it. Condas large HPs are so much better placed
