You don't need to waste a module slot for that. If flight assist is enabled, hitting the zero throttle key once after the jump has been initiated will stop your ship right after exiting hyperspace.Supercruise assist is my hyperspace jumping friend in deep space. Keeps me from flying into the star when I get up to get a beer. Or when I'm watching late night talk shows.
I'm gonna guess you don't drink beer. You don't need to waste a module slot for that. If flight assist is enabled, hitting the zero throttle key once after the jump has been initiated will stop your ship right after exiting hyperspace.
If you're sober enough to press the jump key, pressing the zero throttle key next shouldn't be too difficult. You can do this during the FSD countdown; the game will remember it at the end of the jump and bring the ship to a halt in front of the main star.I'm gonna guess you don't drink beer.
Edit: I'm confused. "If flight assist is enabled, hitting the zero throttle key..." Did the text of your post get jumbled?
How do you have "flight assist is enabled..." if you don't have the module installed? Hence my confusion on your post.If you're sober enough to press the jump key, pressing the zero throttle key next shouldn't be too difficult. You can do this during the FSD countdown; the game will remember it at the end of the jump and bring the ship to a halt in front of the main star.
What you are describing only works after the FSD warm up, 3... 2...1... and then enter witchspace. Now you can press the zero throttle, absolutely. I'm gonna guess you haven't had many sessions were you jump +200 times while other distractions are happening around you. Certainly I successfully traveled the lengths of the galaxy before the flight assist modules were introduced. But using up a 1 slot for assurance I don't run into the star while watching late night TV sure is nice.If you're sober enough to press the jump key, pressing the zero throttle key next shouldn't be too difficult.
