You're dutch I assume. Triumph studio is dutch. So buy it. It's like buying products from the local farm. Support your local devs.

Yup, great indie studio. Overlord was a lot of fun too.

I used to play strategy games a lot when I was still a pc gamer.
I'm curious if Age of Wonders playes well on console, having to use a controller and all that.
I play Sudden Strike 4 on Xbox and it works pretty good with controller.
Not tried with a controller. It's turn based, would play like XCom / Civilisation on consoles I guess.
Well what do you know, Age of Wonders was just added to GamePass today at the XO19 conference so I can play it now for free.
Well almost for free, I payed one euro for almost a year and a half GamePass.

I've been playing the campaign for a couple hours now and I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes a turnbased strategy game.
Especially the fights are a lot of fun, they're turnbased too and are a lot like Xcom, the different units for each race are very well made with a lot of customization options.
Since it's turn based playing with the controller is no disadvantage at all like with some rts games where you need to select units fast to counter the enemy.
In fact I think they implemented the use of the controller very well.
I play this game with gamepass but I think I might buy it, just to support the dev.
Soon there will be a paid expansion too and I don't see the point in buying that without owning the base game myself.
