AI crew XP share at elite rank?

Hi there commanders,
quick question: does NPC hired crew member in SLF cuts your combat XP even if that NPC is already elite rank or you get full XP like without that NPC?

They do, unfortunately.

FDev confirmed this in another thread a while back.

I can also confirm from personal testing a few days ago. I set my elite NPC to inactive and my rate of progress doubled. It has gone from 2% per hour to 4% per hour at a compromised nav beacon, on deadly.
