AI engineer weapon video evidence compilation: post "AI one shot me" evidence here.

I've seen a fair few people saying that the AI super weapons are blowing them up in a matter of seconds, so I thought I'd start a thread to hopefully get more evidence and see in the community think this is bugged or working as intended.

So here's my contribution, not a one shot but something (Thermal attack) from a dead vulture knocked ~100mj off my shields in one go (5C biweave, 2 pips to sys, lost 2 rings)

Definitely a bug.

You can see prior to the pilots demise the Npc has two PA. I've never seen PA fired so fast and cause such instantaneous destruction.

I don't want the AI nerfed because of bugs. I think the improved skill of the AI is a much welcome change.

Fix this FD, but don't turn the AI into flying potatoes again.

You seemed to take quite a hit from behind at the moment your shields lost 60odd% or so. Possible collision with something or rogue missile/PA blast or something?

If you play it slowly, the Vultures weapons didn't have too much effect on your shields. They dropped a couple rings as a hit was registered from behind and a smaller one from the side.

Don't see anything unusual there, looks normal and allright.

The video in the second post with the Python looks a bit extrem tough, granted with just one pips to shields hes not done enough but I certainly have never seen the hull going down so fast.

Yeah i noticed the shield hit on the holo on the back, looking at the scanner though nothing ssemed close enough to collide, and nothing else was ahooting at me, no reds on radar.

The fact it says thermal shock at the same time it happens makes me think its a weapon attack of some kind.

Yea, that is a bit odd. It could have been some sort of modified railgun/PA or perhaps a missile although I didn't see any on the scanner?
A modified huge PA could probably take out most of 100mj with ease if it's been tweaked to deliver more damage to shielding. Could have been a stray shot from something else?

Friendly fire? I've seen more of that recently.

Maybe you were unlucky enough to get in the way of a plasma weapon?

It doesn't look like the Vulture hit you.

Thinking about it a bit more there is some nasty frag cannon mod that allows you to fire like 6 shots in half a second. So I am thinking the python got hit by that as he had no pips in the shield and I am thinking the vulture was right on top of him firing.

See that blue streak? Those are railgun shots, not some sort of upgraded beam laser.

Ai blatantly cheats, not that it's anything new.

Video 1- Friendly fire, probably from a modded PA. You can see the hit on your rear shields.
Video 2- Latency. The adjudication server applied all the damage that you received at once because you were dropping packets before.
Video 3- Blue laser mods, combined with a ton of incoming damage all at once from lots of attackers, nothing unusual.

Okay, I'm all for improved and competent AI, but should any weapon in the game take down a Clipper's hull that fast? The Clipper is a large ship, it should really last more than two seconds against any kind of sustained beam fire, shouldn't it? Large ships shouldn't feel like they are made of paper, it should at least take a bit of work to destroy something as big as a Clipper, shouldn't it?

It was more than one attacker though.

One of the biggest concerns coming out of beta was the damage increases that engineer mods provide. That said, he was being shot at from a lot of enemies at once.

The Cutter's hull drops dramatically (as seen in the percentage decrease) ONLY when the FAS' blue laser hits it. Yes, there are other weapons hitting the ship, but inbetween the FAS' two salvos, the Cutter's hull MAYBE drops from 43% to 42%, it's not really clear. Most of the damage is done by the blue beam.

If I'm not mistaken, the FAS does not even have a huge hardpoint. It's just one large hardpoint doing all the work.

Wow. I'm all for the new advanced AI but that weapon was just outrageous.

I bought a Viper mk2 and entered a signal source with "threat level 4". Shields went down in two hits, tried to escape using boost, but after 5 seconds I was dead. :(

Oh, I play offline. No network issue here.

I think you need to watch it again at no point is there ONLY just the one blue laser hitting. Look at the radar and see how many ships are attacking that ship.
