AI gone bonkers? or: New AI code implemented?

Here's a funny one from today. Inside the station Sidewinders are buzzing like mosquitoes (until they get blown up), and outside, well - take a look. It's a bit hard to see - but there is a LONG lane of AI ships lined up and going nowhere - same on the other side of the station entrance. I hope this is not the new AI code in action ;)

It's a graphics glitch; if you fly into the ships, they will clip through you; they are actually docked at the station, and are rotating with it. The glitch makes them appear to be outside of the station.

I've also seen AI ships in the station hovered over their respective docking pads. Pads were activated for landing, but the ships were just sitting there stationary, like they were in formation waiting for orders.

Buggy buggy.

Saw a type 9 parked just outside the slot yesterday, wondered what it was doing and just squeezed past on my way out.
Came back 10 mins later and its still parked there :S

And whats with wanted ships inside the docking bay ..... a nice fat bounty and I cant shoot them :(

I wouldn't trust so expensive piece of machinery as a conda to a docking computer. Put some pips to shields at least.

Actually, the docking computer works differently with different ships. The Type-9 was awful, the Anaconda one has not made a single mistake in 100+ landings. Well, um, if you don't count that it always, every time, scrape against the top of the letterbox going in. But nothing the shields can't handle (zero pips or not) :)
