I entered the statement "Generate an Elite Dangeous forum post". in Bing chat this was the response.

Title: My thoughts on Odyssey after 100 hours of gameplay
Hello fellow commanders,
I've been playing Odyssey since launch and I wanted to share my honest opinion on the expansion. I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about it, so I hope this post can spark some constructive discussion.
First of all, let me say that I love the concept of Odyssey. Being able to walk around planets, stations and settlements, interact with NPCs, take on missions and explore new locations is something I've always dreamed of in Elite Dangerous. The graphics are stunning, the sound design is immersive and the atmosphere is amazing.
However, I also have to admit that Odyssey has a lot of issues that need to be addressed. The performance is inconsistent, the bugs are frequent and frustrating, the gameplay loop is repetitive and shallow, the balance is off and the content is lacking. I feel like Odyssey was rushed out too soon and it shows.
Here are some of the main problems I have with Odyssey:
I could go on but I think you get the idea. Odyssey feels like a half-baked product that was released too early and without enough testing or polish. It has a lot of potential but it also has a lot of problems that need to be fixed.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing Elite Dangerous and I appreciate what Frontier has done with this game over the years. But I also feel like Odyssey was a missed opportunity to take Elite Dangerous to the next level and deliver a truly amazing expansion.
I hope Frontier can listen to the feedback from the community and work hard to improve Odyssey in the future updates. I want Odyssey to succeed and I want Elite Dangerous to grow and thrive.
Thank you for reading this long post and sorry for any grammar mistakes (English is not my first language). Fly safe commanders o7"

- The FPS combat is clunky and unresponsive. The weapons feel weak and unsatisfying, the enemies are bullet sponges and have aimbot accuracy, the AI is dumb and predictable, the cover system is broken and the hit detection is unreliable. The combat missions are boring and repetitive, with no variety or challenge. The only reason to do them is for the credits and materials, which leads me to my next point.
- The grind is real and tedious. Everything in Odyssey requires a lot of credits and materials, from buying suits and weapons to upgrading them to unlocking engineers. The problem is that the rewards are too low and the costs are too high. It takes hours of grinding boring missions or scavenging random settlements to get enough resources to make any meaningful progress. And even then, the RNG can screw you over with bad rolls or low quality mods. The grind feels like a chore and not fun at all.
- The exploration is disappointing and shallow. The planets look beautiful but they are mostly empty and lifeless. There is nothing interesting or rewarding to find on them, except for some generic settlements or POIs that all look the same. The scanning tool is annoying and tedious to use, the exobiology gameplay is dull and pointless, the SRV controls are still awful and the jetpack is underwhelming. The exploration missions are also boring and repetitive, with no variety or challenge. The only reason to do them is for the credits and materials, which again leads me to my next point.
- The content is lacking and unoriginal. Odyssey adds very little new content to Elite Dangerous. Most of the features are recycled or reskinned from Horizons or base game. The suits and weapons are just cosmetic variations of each other, with no real difference in functionality or gameplay. The engineers are just copy-pasted from Horizons, with no new personalities or stories. The settlements are just modular buildings that can be randomly generated, with no unique design or lore. The NPCs are just generic placeholders that have no depth or interaction. The missions are just fetch quests or kill quests that have no story or impact on the galaxy.
I could go on but I think you get the idea. Odyssey feels like a half-baked product that was released too early and without enough testing or polish. It has a lot of potential but it also has a lot of problems that need to be fixed.
