AI ships that interdict you, again, and again, and again and again and again...and other spamming NPC's

I love (I'm being sarcastic here) the way NPC's interdict you, you submit then escape and they like insta catch up with you a few seconds later which the whole thing repeats. A trip that takes like 2 mins and 1000ls away takes ten-fifteen mins and I want to kill my computer. I've been forced to exit game to menu then re log just to allow myself to get to my destination. Being forced to do that is a bit poor, i shouldn't have to do that.

While we are on the subject of spamming NPC's, I was looking for rebel transmissions or any black box, adrift items for missions and i get jumped everytime by several high poweed random NPC's that shred me in seconds, forcing me to leave loop round and come back. It took me 15 attempts to get just three rebel transmissions, everytime I was jumped and skanked by multiple heavily armed NPC's.

Now i can understand once or twice but not over and over and over again 15 times.

That is spamming, pure and simple. More spam than a box set of Monty Python.

Grrrr.

You can very efficiently complete salvage missions by using targeted collector limpets. Two 3A controllers will get you four limpets out. Use your contacts tab to target your mission objective and pop a limpet for each one. Take 2x the limpets needed in case you need to drop back in. Using this method, if you practice, you can be in and out of those USS in 15 seconds.

you submit then escape

No I don't, for the exact reasons you stated. Submitting is not, and should not be, the proper way to escape from an NPC. Get better at evading (yes I know they're sometimes harder than maybe they should be), and leave them in the dust.

No, you are not being forced to exit the game.

Yeah, and this^^

If you need some pointers on how to break interdiction, just say the word.

If you submit then dodge them until you can go back to supercruise they can use a wake scanner and follow after you, as you are indeed finding out, that isn't escaping from them it is teasing them.
What you should do is jump to the nearest system then immediately jump back and try again.

Recovery missions from USSs and elsewhere almost always come with guaranteed opposition who will be scaled to be at a minimum around your ranked levels or around the ranked level of the mission whichever is higher. Unless you are skilled at 1vmany combat it is advisable to consider fast defensive fit outs and ducking in and out of the location collecting one item at a time.

I am in the trade CG at the moment the only thing I have not submitted and escaped from, blown up with mines, damaged so they jumped out was a player with a LOT of modified weapons. I was super cruising fast out of the shipping lanes which broke one attempt, submitted to all the others went full throttle immediately after submitting, boosting as soon as I was in real space (before I had stopped spinning, ID'd the attackers immediately and either deployed mine launchers whilst running or just continued running depending on numbers and types of craft. Score to date died at hands of player once (yes he did ask for cargo no I didn't have enough time to negotiate or drop cargo before he started killing me), killed a FAS 2 Vultures, a Python, an Asp Ex, drove off severely damaged an Asp Scout, ran and waked away from an Anaconda, a Python and a Python and a FAS (who came back after me and got killed).
This was in a Python with 3 mine launchers and a couple of pulse laser turrets (which probably haven't even been in range.

FD stated a long time ago that the ability to simply submit and quickly jump out was not intended.

You either need to evade the NPC interdiction, high wake out of the system and come back until the NPC is evaded, or kill the NPC.

Problem solved, 3 solutions. No more nerfing of the AI needed

How about when you get them (NPC) down to 16% hull they jump out then you jump out they interdict you again (about 15 sec later) and they are at full hull and shields.

It's a pity that Fdev has built in so much impossible to evade npc behavior into the game.
Interdictions couldn't be more inane just now.

I didn't say the reasons behind the interdiction's are not a bit... aggressive and need a balance pass. Just that escaping after a submit wasn't intended.... but yea - this is a good example of one that needs to be fixed. If you give them a hurt and THEY jump out, that should be that.

There is an in game all time high of interdictions recently. I have seen many many threads on this topic since 2.1.
......They are super annoying for sure. And if your set up right offer no challenge what so ever, but appear everywhere you want to be regardless. Ha.

Flimley

I think the NPCs are bugged, they don't scan your cargo first either. We need multiple options to respond to NPCs.
