Albino animals in Sandbox

Hi all, I think a lot of people asked for this: it would be nice to have an option that let us have albino animals, black jaguar etc. In sandbox mode in an easier way, because sandbox players usually play the game to "relax" and not to spend hours and hours breeding lots of animals just to obtain a special one. In franchise mode they are so easy to buy and so common, so why should we struggle to get them in "Sandbox" mode?

I agree. They're way too rare in sandbox mode. WAY too rare. I don't care if it's more realistic to have them super rare. People just play this game for fun. The game doesn't have to be 100% realistic at all times.
It would be nice to have rare colors appear in the trade listings more often in sandbox, or at least have that as a toggleable option.

And please, please fix the sandbox-breeding-bug so that albinos and melanistic animals can pass on their colour to their offspring.

We do get them in sandbox, but they are rare, I mean I like the rare thing; makes it exciting but I would like the likelihood to be a bit higher so it doesn’t take 85 years to get one different variation

It's fine for albino/leucistic animals, but black jaguars occur commonly in comparison and should not work on the same system.

In another thread one of the CM's did say they were passing on this feedback, though, so something might change in a future update.

Any tips on how to get albino animals/black jaguars in sandbox? I've never encountered any and my zoo is older than the Roman Empire at this stage. Get they're supposed to be a rare thing and all...but in Franchise mode the market is flooded with em. But I've waffled on...Any tips on how to identify if an animal has that trait or if there's a breeding strategy, I'd welcome your assistance.
Didn't Frontier update the game recently based on feedback about this? Still not seeing anything...

The strategy is to start a breeding farm lol. Unless a new discovery was made, the albino/melanistic gene isn't tied to any of the visible genes. It appears to just be:

If not albino -> low chance of albino offspring
If albino -> average to high chance of albino offspring

In franchise are thousends of players breeding the animals, so the chance 1 of them gets an albino is way higher. And when you have an albino that one gets babys and sold on the market.

All those players are breeding the animals for hours, lets say a total of e.g.500, to get 1 albino... When you play in sandbox it would take you so many hours, because you play alone and can't trade
So it isnt weird at all that franchise has so many albino's on the market

But i wish the sandbox market would be online also, so that you can trade good stat or albino animals, in stead of crappy stat/non albino animals all the time
