"Albino"/White wolves?

Does albinism cover both albinos and leucistics? I guess leucism is completely different? It's a bit vague on wikipedia:

So albino animals don't actually have to be white depending on the species? The eye colour also seems to vary by species/type of albinism.

Should have just called them variant skins like ZT2. Less confusion. :p

Albinism and leucism are two totally different mutations.
Albinism is a condition in which there is an absence of melanin, which gives colour to the skin, feathers, fur and eyes etc.The opposite is melanism.Animals with albinism appear white, have pink skin and red/pink eyes, noses and/or hooves.(because of the blood vessels being visible)
Leucism is "only" a partial loss of pigmentation, which can make the animal appear pure white or patchily coloured. The colloquial term for partial leucism is piebald.Their skin is also pink, but leucistic animals mostly keep their eye colour and e.g. black nose colour.Leucism and partial leucism/piebaldism are definitely more common than albinism.
Another colour mutation is isabellinism, which results into pink skin and in a cream,blonde,greyish-yellowish fur, feather etc. colour.

The problem ingame is,that all colour variants are labeled as albino. Most of them are leucistic, some of them are isabelline and e.g. the lesser spotted cheetah is a whole different mutation on it's own,but is still labeled as an albino. Only a small amount of the so called albino animals ingame are in fact albino.
I can understand mixing up albino and leucistic, but to label a lesser spotted cheetah as albino..I don't know.
While opinions might differ regarding that topic, and it isn't such a big deal,I personally think that it doesn't really support the advertised and somewhat approached way of educating people, because it's not educating, but just spreading misinformation.

Thanks for the info! The cheetah honestly really bugs me because I can find very little proof that it exists: just a couple of photos from some guy back in 2012. Not even any video footage (as that's harder to fake). Maybe I'm just too cynical. Not sure why they would pick that over a king cheetah - I guess it was less work to just remove the spots.
