Aliens will be coming soon. Frontier like to roll out barnacle/UA related stuff with each major patch. Everytime there is more for us to find, whether we see it immediately or not. Eventually we will get to see them (thargoids or some other race since we have not confirmed all this is bug related). This is only year 2 of a 10 year development plan.

Fun fact "bug-ger" is censored on this forum? I'm American, is this word offensive in Europe? Was going to make a reference to bugs from Ender's game.

Well CoxRing was too hardcore for the game so they removed the reference to a amazing modern man and replaced it with ''pipin'' why not call Brian cox's vision... or even just Brianring?
