I gather this is some pre-emptive worldbuilding for the changes to come in 1.3. We know they're fixing the sparse weapon loadout, mission framework and AI, as well as adding cargo drones. The biomechanical enhancements statement raises my curiosity though.

I would love to see an alien invasion of the core worlds. The 3 major factions would form a temporary alliance and ask every combat ready commander to join the fight and save humanity. Would make for an interesting community goal.
