Aliens question.

I’m about half way to Sagittarius A, and have been listening to Galnet radio talk about the Thargoids. Are the Thargoids the only alien species on Elite: Dangerous?

We have Thargoids and Guardians. Although I dont think anyone has set eyes on a Guardian (extinct?). There's a theory to explain the lack of sentient life forms in the galaxy. see "Law of Accelerating Returns"

There are rumours of the Guardian AI constructs still being active

Also rumours of a few guardian survivors(I dont believe this one)

However I do believe we dont even want to meet the guardian AI constructs.... bearing in mind their creators were violently xenophobic and inclined to build all sorts of nasty bio-weapons...

I think it would be neat, if someone found a system with new aliens, and made contact. Maybe causing them start attacking stations, or maybe giving the user a unique ship.
