Nah, I reckon it's the Thargoids. Elite Dangerous is released and a couple of years later a flare from around Sagittarius A, that can't be coincidence.

Well, if this Black Hole at least 70ly away from Earth, than we've just seen an alien ship that hyperjump to Earth and crushed in Roswell in 1947.

The story is inaccurate they were not looking directly at the black hole because you cant see it ! They were however looking in the region around this black hole
