If you look at the back of your FE2 manual in the credits at the bottom, you will see this.

I really want to know what this was about.

Maybe Dave B can fill us in.

Can't remember the exact details...but hasn't that got something to do with the company they were originally planning to release with pulling out, and Gametek stepped in at the last minute to get it on sale?...ironic considering what happened with the next one.

Yeah, if memory serves, Konami pulled out of computer game (as opposed to console game) publishing at the last minute and Gametek sorted things out :eek:

Didn't FE2 still have the Konami logo thing in the opening credits though? Surely there would have been time to remove that whilst they were puting in the gametek one?

I heard the reason frontier was so bugged was because gametek released a development/beta/test version instead of waiting for the bugs to be ironed out.

Isn't that why Frontier sued them out of existence?

Well the retail release is "version 1.00", that only existed for a couple of months before DB withdrew it from sale.

The reason they released it early is cos the contract between DB and them was about to expire for FFE so they just threw it out with loads of bugs, dunno weather it was a BETA version or not...

Hmm... guess what, my FE2 box has the Konami logo on! I'll verify its existence in the opening credits later on.
