All good sci-fi have bar fights at some point so ED:O needs bar fight mechanics in the bar area

All good sci-fi have bar fights at some point in their stories. Star Trek: The Original Series, Deep Space 9, Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Total Recall, Tron: Legacy, T2, Total Recall, Fire Fly, etc. Since fighting mechanics is already a part of Odyssey, we should really have the ability to fight in the bar area on stations and carriers. Sure, still block weapon usage, but at least allow for physical fighting PvE and PvP. Maybe even require bar fights to reveal secret missions or prizes! Fights don't have to be to the death, as achievements can either to trigger their end and establish victors. Basically, something fun that could make stations more interesting and give new opportunities for content reveal.

Your thinking 'roadhouse'...
...but with the players here it'll be a bunch of basement dwelling land whales throwing mountain dew at each other and crying.

Fully agree with this thought. Just like in Skyrim, there should be an opportunity to put up your dukes and punch it out with someone. Maybe some ganker that's been pestering you for the last few days. Of course, how do you determine who wins?

<sfx=DetectiveColombo> Just one more thing... </sfx>
I've transported several tons of "non-lethal weapons" from here to there, etc. I assume they have a "stun" setting.

Why don't we have one of those ourselves? Why don't we ever see them get used?
And what about that reactive armor I keep transporting? Who's hiding all that stuff?

"Oh, but it's so enlightening."

No-one wins because my crew has order to throw anyone who starts a fight in the bar into the brig for 12 hours with no food, water or way out.

Get with the devs of the game, "Drunkn Bar Fight", mix EDO models and locations and let us have at it. As a bonus it would be throwing a bone to the VR crowd.

Are there many space games with bar fighting as a normal mechanic... Looks like the comparisons are from movies so far...

ETA: I remember there being a comment from the Devs that melee damage was removed from concourses - perhaps some bright sparks had found they could beat others to death?

Considering that currently we have people sitting down in each other the bar fight mechanic could be in there already just we cant see the person floating in space trying to fight someone in another system altogether 🤔
