One other thing is the potential to add some more intelligence to NPC pirates - they work harder to take your cargo rather than destroy you (you know the thing - more intelligent use of hatch breakers, cargo door shooting and hurting you without destroying you.

Yup, already making plans... Not just pirates but security forces etc too...

PSA: The NPC AI's are now following me out of jump, and all the way into station no-fire zones.

Good thing I'm allied with most of the stations in my area. The cops, and the station cooked the NPC AI. I kept my Master Arm Switch selected to Off, and ran for the docking bay. Not much else you can do in a T6.

Thank you for the much improved docking computer.

Two have done that to me so far - they both met a sad end at the hand of the station defences.

I had one particularly enthusiastic NPC interdict me after I had already initiated a hyper-jump. I managed to jump and the NPC tagged along. We dropped to normal space far too close to the star. NPC was dispatched and I managed to jump out with quite a bit of heat damage. Great stuff!!

It seems so. I have filed a bug because it feels utterly wrong that when two Anacondas are firing at each other, both heavily damaged, and after you just fired a single shot at one of them, it immediately abandons everything in order to attack you.

I'm guessing that's an awareness of not allowing NPC ships to tank for you thus trivialising the encounter, though it may need some threshold values being tweaked.

please please please :)
forward this to person responsible: STOP interdicting large ships with small crap that has no chance to do any damage at all, this is the most annoying thing i have ever experienced in my gaming "career" and they still will message me several seconds before they die "you have no chance" and similar crap.

as well as i want to know WHY i should kill NPC enemies of my power if they give me nothing - no powerplay points i can turn into merits, no money, nothing, waste of time, this is first time ever that i ignore enemies in my combat ships completely but kill 'em all if i am in my trading ship becuase they will just keep annoying and wasting my time "persistently", stupid ;/

Sarah Jane, we need to have words ...

There I was, happily farming npc's in a war zone, except it was a lot harder than a few weeks ago. No simple cobra crushing or viper vanquishing, I was having to think and fly properly.

Just as I was about to power plant pop a python I get ganged up on, it turns and close range frag cannon'd me, shields vanish, still 50% hull so I keep going, then salvo 2, 3 and 4 and I go boom.

Thing is, I play self imposed iron man. That's about 6 months flying, 3 ships and 50 million-ish gone :(

Brilliant, just brilliant :) I find the cell spamming focus of PvP frustrating so to have PvE be something threatening and challenging is great. Thank you.
