The bit where supercruise assist inconsistently activates/deactivates is definitely a bug, so just hang it off that
Yes of course. But how would it be if, for example, "deploy cargo scoop" or "boost" were only available in the left panel?

You can do this already. Hit throttle up or down until it in 70% assist zone. It don't take a rocket science to know this.
This is no longer true. SCA can now control the throttle.
Those are a lot more "Time sensitive" actions - having processes to do things on the ship is good in various areas, for instance, I think it would be bad if they removed the process for requesting docking permission and added a direct key to request it.
Adding the ECM hotkey, was a great addition - as using it is very time sensitive, and swapping through fire groups to use it was fairly silly.
I admit, I don't use super cruise assist, so I may be unaware of whatever time sensitive elements its toggling require.
What I want for Xmas is a medium or large guardian/human hybrid ship to fly.
