All Odyssey missions fail on death/destruction?

Is this a regression? Wasn't that something that happened on release but was patched out?
No idea man, am genuinely confused as to how it is meant to be and how it is.
I've died and not even lost the mission I was on today - some people are special

They're supposed to fail if you die at the base the mission is at, and not otherwise.

There are also missions (like "Massacre X number of Y's") that don't target a specific place. So you could die early and often without failing those.
I think if you die with on objective in the top right corner it fails it....
But I'm not 100% sure,
I've sometimes died and failed, and sometimes I've died and been able to try again.

Having just tested this by bungling an assassination mission I can confirm that you don't lose completed missions or outstanding missions - I only failed the assassination - which was ... expected.
