All restore missions now opposed?

Not touched the on foot stuff in some time but I've just reset one of my secondary accounts to see how far I can get just on foot. So never getting in the starter Sidey and no SRV
All the restore missions I'm looking to do though have enemies on the ground. Maverick suit and Pistol just won't cut it.
Are they all like that now? Or do I just need to keep looking?

Usually random as to whether or not scavs are present. Problem solved easily with Can of Advanced Missile Rack.

There's a couple of things it could be, sometimes you'll get sent to a settlement that's already on because the missions haven't caught up with the BGS state, in which case abandon mission and keep looking, or if you mean the settlement is off but there's always scavengers, then that should be random. The chance will be affected by the threat level of the mission, possibly that of the settlement too?

Keep checking Pioneer at every station you visit for juicy pre-upgraded gear - stock refreshes tomorrow - if your Maverick's G3 and your pistol's a Tormentor, you'll be able to handle them. Also get the shotgun it's the only thing that'll one shot shielded enemies.

Or, if you're lucky enough to find an Executioner with Audio Masking, you can silently one shot the scavs, without them spotting you and putting their shields on (my favourite option)

Doing restore missions with base gear is easy enough with a bit of stealth. Makes for a bit of challenge

Ooh yes, an Executioner, Tormentor or Intimidator with audio masking is gold tbh, sneaky sneaky

Or just blow them away from your ship. I like the ground combat as much as anyone but when I'm doing a reactivate I'm there just for the result.

Or for some variety park close enough to draw them to you (not too close), use your ship's shields as cover while you gun them down from the blue circle (with endless ammo). Works best with small settlements.

You're right, I did skim the post. My bad. Technically hiding behind the ship counts (you can also do that with Apex, those pilots forgive a lot of sins).
