All Store Items for Lifetime Membership Holders

Since we are now not getting any updates for 18 months. Could I suggest that Lifetime Member holders get free access to all the in-game cosmetic items in the store?

I purchased mine at the last opportunity, having already paid for the Base Elite game, and probably won't see the value of it.

I would love to be able to buy one, I missed the boat, I didnt see ED until memberships had stopped being sold

I'm not against this but cosmetics don't add value (for me) and this proposal would deny those that still want to support FDev's coffers with regular purchases.

I would very much be in favour of the lifetime pass being permanently or regularly being added to the store, it would demonstrate confidence that there is an ongoing intention to supply sufficient premium content to make the purchase worthwhile.

I fully expect to eventually be offered a store credit (which I would not be satisfied with), or a refund for the value not redeemed.

IMO the 2015 LEP situation has been treated appallingly, I feel I have been sucker-punched for paying in advance and no amount of free cosmetics will rectify that.

Maybe LEPers could get a small amount of monthly store credit which could accrue after a while (a few months) to enough to be able get stuff for free.

At least until the amazing new era planned for 2025 or whenever it was.

I mean, those poor guys.

Can't see FD going for it, though.

Edit - the 'funny' guys pretending not to know what was meant by 'membership'. Pure gold fellas, pure gold.

Great idea. If you want no funding for Elite Dangerous.

I paid Maybe $400 into Elite dangerous not counting the paintjobs. But I know I am supporting Elite Dangerous still by buying some cool paint jobs.

I'm a "lepper" I kinda knew it would be a long wait to get full value from it (hence the "lifetime" moniker). I have no problem waiting till 2020 for the next installment , I just want to support the game I play more than any other.

I am a LEP owner myself and I am wondering...
What is the bases for that assertion? Do you expect to die within the next 18 months?

Important Community Update (01/03)

The bit you want is in the 'The next era' section and is for premium updates. In addition they "will also be releasing a series of updates roughly every 3-4 months".

3.3 was released on December the 11th 2018, just about four months ago. We have just had PAX East & afaik nothing has been announced. Dealing with frontier for anything more complicated than a pretty screenshot or a cat pic is currently an exercise in frustration that does not engender brand loyalty. I'm sure there are good parts but I'm not seeing them, I'm just seeing a lot of unanswered questions or fobbing off.
