Alliance: Call to Arms

Wow, an Alliance combat CG that actually completed... that doesn't happen very often. Awesome fun though, looking forward to the fight in Aasgaa tonight.

erm <shuffle>.. I hope you're not basing the fact that the CG is over on what I wrote above. It was close to finishing when I left it last night. The wording of my post might not have been chosen wisely, but it was quite late on when I discovered the war on our doorstep.

No no, I'm basing it on the 21 million Cr + payday I got this morning after reading your comment last night. Don't worry, fact checking is second nature to me.

Might be a little bit later than expected to the party tonight but I will make it at some point.

Sup guys... been a while since when ARC is now an official faction?

Just saw an ARC rep in Tionisla in Beta 2.2!

That's awesome!

There's life in the old thread yet.

We'd also like to breath a little life into the ARC group as well, and that's why we are starting a weekly competition to get people talking about the ARC, and what a wonderful organisation it is.

To do this we are going to grab as many beginners as we can and show them the fun of combat training in Sidewinders. This is why we are trying to get "Fighter Club" off the ground.

If anyone has access to Discord could they mention "Fighter Club" to the pilots there? It would be good to get the mentors fighting for a position on the top of the ladder as well.

This is a club whose primary goal is to allow the newcomers of the game to gain confidence in fighting, but it welcomes all skill levels, all factions, and all professions. There is no commitment required, but if you don't attend for several weeks you may find that your name has been removed from the ladder.

The rules of Fighter Club:-

(1) No reference shall be made to the movie "Fight Club" as it's a crass and obvious joke to make, although I can heartily recommend the movie.

(2) There will be a list of commanders that is in order of wins

(3) To join the list you must challenge a commander to a duel. If you beat them you go above them on the list, otherwise you join at the bottom.

(4) Anyone can challenge anyone above them on the list, apart from anyone they have just played

(5) If the challenged commander does not accept the duel within three weeks his name is removed from the list

(6) The fight is won either by one contestant yelling surrender, or by the destruction of their ship

(7) The time and place to meet up is Wed 7:00 at Eravate, outside Cleve Hub in Open, but duels for the ladder can take place any time or place the duellists agree.

(8) The duals are in stock Sidewinders by default, but can take place in any ships or choice of weapons agreed by both parties

(9) The adjudicators and keepers of the list are members of the Alliance Rapid-Reaction Corps. They do not need to be present at every duel but the loser of the duel must be the one to private message an adjudicator to alter the list accordingly.

Wed 2nd Nov will be the first outing of this club, so bring your Stock Sidewinder to Cleve Hub that Wednesday 7:00 for a bit of fun, but be aware that there might be a bit of death involved so make sure you collect all your cartographic data and bounties before you join in.

Also remember to set your "Report crimes against me" to "off"
