Alliance Capital Ship Proposal.

Cleaning up up tonight I found this drawing next to my eight year old lad's homework.
I was cleaning up the dining table and it was half under his Lego Millenium Falcon.
I'm drunk and it's late, but I think he's been drawing up my suggestion for an Alliance Capital Ship.
A huge cargo ship able to carry a wing of other ships. With enough cargo capacity to change the government of a system in one hit.
An economic powerhouse.

For scale I think that's my clipper flying in from above in the top right.

They say that if you can explain it so that a child or your grandma can understand it.

I think that's a planetary settlement at the top.
And (upside down Miss Jane) he might have labelled the hardpoint sizes.

Not sure if the end points on the outriggers are engines or turrets. Looks like a bank of 5 engines on the right.

It's anothe Lakon vehicle design, but manufactured on Alioth. It's halfway between a Vulture and a Type 9.
one looks like an Orca, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't seen one.

I think this is clearly the design aesthetic FDEV should go forward with when finally designing Alliance Ships. At first I wasn't so sure then I down my Macallans and I began to see the functional elegance in this. Bottom center there is clearly a System Security Ship gathering up speed for a scan and ram so there is no doubt this exists in the Elite:Dangerous universe. On another thought, do you think we could get crowd sourced funding to purchase our booze so we can stand around and watch out kids design the "Next Big Thing" in gaming? Just a thought. My Macallan Cask Strength has really soared in price this past year.

I fully support both the idea and the design.

EDIT: regarding scale: I think you are missing that your son has grasped three dimensions in his design. The planet is clearly a long way below from our vantage point. And there are many 'arrow' ships (FdL/Viper) on the image. Some are clearly next to the capital ship, others which are visually above it, are larger so clearly closer. I suspect the larger ships in the upper left and right are also some distance 'above' the main ship.
