Alliance home world and system?

Ever since iv'e been accepting missions from the Alliance faction systems near (and at) Lave, iv'e been interested in setting a goal to travel to (or near if permit required) the home system and world of the Alliance faction and gain rep. Anybody know the name of them? Thanks!

You are looking for the Alioth system, and yep, it requires a permit.

My research led me to believe a mission would grant me the permit after I reached allied with Alliance but I didn't figure it out before getting distracted by something else. I hung around Alioth for a bit trying to due missions for related factions but had no luck.

Permits on the Empire and Federation are always given by attainance of naval ranks, not by diplomatic status. However, the permit to Alliance's Alioth can be attained by reaching allied status with the group "Alioth Independents".
