Newcomer / Intro Alliance Hubs

Finally have my feet wet and im enjoying the game. I noticed that the missions I have been building up those is for rebels in federation space. Is there an easy way to find out thwere the other nations are? I would like to be in Alliance space so I can build rep/rank

Go to the galaxy map. under one of the tabs you can filter systems by who they are allied with.
