While we can't prevent anyone from posting random Empire and Federation information here we'll continue to provide news updates relevant to Alliance space in an informative and hopefully interesting manner to keep the thread on topic.

We expect this week to be relativelty uneventful as there are a series of bugs affecting the background sim preventing progress in several systems. We'll do out best to find something relevent! :)

Hey, Im not alliance allied, but I am pro-alliance. But based on the AMA and what he said about alliance not having a capital ship because the council wont agree, have any of you guys found the subfaction supporters of those council members? Are any of you taking measures to crush them so new councilmen can be elected and hopefully vote to consolidate a military? In my opinion, I think you guys should start focusing on that for when PP comes out :) - Id like to see you succeed in doing that

As a group we have several plans to improve Alliance cohesion by using the background sim itself. Some creative storytelling backed up by our actions ingame will create a compelling reason for the devs to implement ship building (we have several non-combat story ideas too) for the Alliance, assuming that's the direction they want to take the Alliance.

Achieving this goal however is impossible with the current state of the background sim.

_Update for Tuesday, 28 April 3301_

As predicted in yesterday's update, the war in Doris is now over. The Alliance faction "Doris Vision Systems" beat the immigrant "New Mizar Revolutionary Party" quite substantially. This wasn't an AEDC operation, we believe congratulations are due to CMDR S and his group. We're sure they'll be in the news again in the not too distant future.

Also close to Alioth (just 6ly away) the civil war for control of HDS 1879 came to an end over night. "HDS 1879 Advanced Incorporated" took control of the "Shaikh Dock" Ocellus and now rule the system on behalf of the Alliance.

The previously mentioned war in Ashtart is now over with a small victory for the "Pro-Alliance Group". No station was at risk for either side.

War broke out yesterday in a small, backwater extraction system almost mid-way between Alioth and Lave. Local Alliance faction "Leaders of Sikarici" currently have a substantial lead over the Anarchist "Jet Syndicate". Although no stations are involved (yet), the Leaders have been making steady progress in their attempts to gain favour with the local community. This is the second war between the pair this month, and the general consensus seems to be positive towards the Alliance faction putting the anarchists in their place. A decisive victory is expected by the end of the week, which will put them on track to securing one of the two extraction outposts in the system over the next few months.

For those of you in the Lave Cluster, we hear reports of higher than usual aggressive behaviour around Lave and Leesti. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled out there, and fly safe commanders.

Hey AEDC people did you read that Halsey will be coming by 78UM?

What are your thoughts on that?

Also shouldn't this thread be technically under Groups since discussions here indicate the state of AEDC's focus? I can see with 1.3 on the horizon a lot of threads getting misplaced and lost.

There are several individual commanders and player groups working in Alliance space that aren't specifically AEDC players and we want to give them the recognition they deserve for their actions in promoting the Alliance. Moving the news reports to the group thread is something we can consider.

We try to monitor as many systems as possible for developments and changes relating to the Alliance. The main goal of this thread was to provide the entire community with Alliance specific news as they've been notably absent from Galnet for quite some time. Quite a few interesting events have occured for the Alliance as a result of player actions since launch :)

We saw the news that Halsey will be visiting 78UM. We're curious to see her response to the results of the election at the beginning of the month and the subsequent prosperity and economic booms present in the system (currently 4 factions in a boom state). The Alioth Independents faction have an 86.6% approval rating as of today.

A little closer to Alioth, the system of Tefenhua is peaceful once again today. The civil war which broke out after the Independents "United Tefenhua Free" fell from favour in the system has resulted in a change of governance. It will be a challenge for the new rulers, "Alliance Union", to lead the system dominated by Independent groups, but with their new headquarters in the Blish Port Orbis and support of 50% of local residents they are sure to rise to the task at hand.
Tefenhua started as an Alliance system with the 'Alliance Union' as the leading faction based in the station closest to the jump in point, Gromov. Unknown agitators forced a civil war resulting in the Union losing the station and having no concrete presence in system.
A lone commander was a little unhappy about this as Tefenhua was their adopted home system, so they began running every Union mission available in any station (it is unknown if any other commanders were involved) and 2 civil wars were triggered within 3 weeks resulting in the Union gaining Blish Port.

The Union's rep is again on the up, hopefully it can gain another station and secure its, and the Alliance's, position in system.

In other news, Neighbouring Tirada is ripe for Alliance takeover, if any commanders can be bothered with the 350k ls journey to Wagner Installation which is the only platform in system. A wing with a member waiting at the platform could flip the system quickly. The lone commander would like to help but the local faction are hostile and landing at the platform is 'problematic'. (A few too many assassination missions for the Alliance Union may have some bearing on this.)

Tefenhua has undergone another civil war with Alliance Union retaking Gromov Orbital in addition to the previously gained Blish Orbital. It seems United Tefenhua Free are not taking defeat lying down and are preparing a counterattack. A risky move putting ownership of their largest remaining asset Elder Hub in jeopardy.

Nearby the Alliance faction Earls of Beta Catonis are gathering forces to take the platform in Beta Catonis. Reports suggest this group of Empire satirists are no longer content with the governance in the system and will be taking action from tomorrow. This is thought to be the first time a group of actual comedians have gone to war.
