After 3 weeks of intense activity laying the foundations in the Lave Cluster, the Alliance Elite Diplomatic Corps (AEDC) can today announce that Reorte has returned to Alliance control.A local pirate group had attempted to rename the cluster "New Caribbean". It was a brazen attempt to create a safe haven for pirates to operate around one of the most heavily traded regions of populated space. It was obvious from the start that residents of local stations were not in favour of the pirates' ambition. The Alliance military was initially slow to take the threat from this group seriously. However, undercover agents from AEDC have been working tirelessly all month, working with local community groups, to prepare the ground for a brief battle to retake control of Davies High.As planned, the conflict ended quickly, causing as little disruption to residents as possible. Alliance approval in Reorte now stands at 93% as a result!Elsewhere in the cluster, the Alliance are visibly taking the threat more seriously. In Lave itself, the three Alioth loyal factions boast nearly 90% in opinion polls. After this long anticipated Alliance victory in Reorte, the ruling party in Lave saw their influence jump over 20% in a day!The burning question on everyone's lips around the Old Worlds, is: "when will Leesti return to the fold?" It's clear that after walking in and reclaiming Reorte with minimal fuss, the experienced negotiators of AEDC are planning something similar in the cluster's second most famous system. The air is abuzz with excitement. But one thing is certain, AEDC will wait until the right moment to make their move.In other news around Alliance space, this week saw Elite Diplomats conclude high level negotiations with another 5 star systems, bringing them under Alioth protection too. In addition to those 5 (6 if including Reorte's jubilant return) another 5 minor orbitals also joined. These negotiations usually take many weeks to conclude and require a lot of highly skilled manpower. The AEDC are always on the look out for talented, hard working commanders to help with their efforts. Full job training and guidance is provided, and all skills (trading, exploring, combat, mining) can be used to devastating effect.
