Alliance ships

I've bought the Chieftain/Crusader/Challenger, want to do some combat

Which of them is best? I know it's subjective. Firepower and maneuverability in that order

Crusader is junk. The rest, both are very good. Some people point at the "vastly more agile" Chieftain. But the actual difference in speed and agility is small. And you can set up the Challenger a bit lighter, resulting in basically the same speed, agility and durability of the Chieftain. So, it really boils down to which hardpoint layout you prefer.

It was until very late in development. For months after release it still had Alliance decals on some interior features near the coffee machine, until some wag on the forum pointed it out.
