Allied Local Factions.

Hi,

Just a quick question.

How do you tell which local factions at a star port are allied to the PP person you are pledged to please.:S

I have one faction that has a blue diamond next to the name does that signify an allied faction if not what does it mean.:S

Don't PP so can't help with the first part, but the blue diamond signifies the dominant / controlling faction for that port.

I don't think minor factions are 'allied' with PP people. Their systems are either controlled by the PP person, or not.

Don't think Minor factions can align themselves with a power beyond being Federation/Empire/Alliance, although the powers do have different stat changes made to a system based upon it's affiliation(Fed/Emp/Alliance/Independent). For example Zachary Hudson who is a Federation Aligned Power grants a Security Bonus to Federation systems whilst the other Factions(Empire/Alliance/Independent) have their security decreased. That is if he is controlling/exploiting the system.

With regards to the factions being allied, I saw in a previous post that giving charity to factions that are allied helps with ranking.

I'll have to look it up and see what the poster meant.

He was talking about your ranking with one of the 3 super powers, you can get missions from them that increase your rank. Which will unlock faction ships for use. To get these missions it helps to be allied/friendly with the minor factions
