Allied with Empire, Knight Rank, No More Progression?

Hey everyone, I'm sitting in the area of Iota Hydri, a group of imperial systems near Sorbago, trying desperately to rank up for the clipper. I just turned allied with the Empire, have been a knight for a day, and had been friendly for at least two weeks. Right now, I'm barely getting any progression missions. I heard it would be tough, but after turning in about 1.5 million in Bounties and some more in combat bonds, and doing around 5-7 missions, I still haven't gotten any progression. it feels like a wasted day, as I've been playing for a good few hours now, maybe 4. What gives?

Dunno always told to move on to another system and get allied however I am allied already I am 200ly away from home and still nothing.

I kept doing missions for a single minor faction in a system that is allied with the imps and eventually I got the next ascention missions.

I don't do missions fot more than one minor faction at a time (because that appeared to give neg rep to the main minor faction in that system).

They _do_ arrive in time. Try completing missions for minor Empire factions in a system. I thought that I was stuck on "Squire" and then on "Lord" but received the mission in the end - I'm now a Baron. I can't afford a Clipper, granted, but at leasy I know that it will be available when the time comes.

Keep plugging away at missions to get allied with the minor factions and then move on to the next faction. The naval ascension missions will appear.

Handing in Bounty / Combat bonds won't get you that far rep wise..... i must have handed in 150m of bounties by now to my core Imperial station and haven't seen a glimmer or any progression .... when i went from Serf to Count it took me about 5 days of grinding board missions - mainly doing the 'Covert help', 'start the weekend', and 'Slaves free' ones..
Can't even begin to guess how many missions i did in the end

Keep at it and keep changing systems. Try to make sure you get ALLIED with all the minor (Imperial) factions and then move on. I found that doing delivery missions was the best way to gain rep.

Same as others have said...ally with more minor empire factions

I will note, however, that it seems like the progression missions most show up with strong factions with large stations. Though that is just my limited observation as I don't visit outposts all that often.

after you handed in 6-7 missions for a minor faction move on to another minor factions. now that you are allied with a major faction it will show that you are also allied with all Empire minor factions which make it hard to judge your actual standing with them.

ive got 3 ranks in Empire space so far this week with only a few hours play per day.

All im doing after reading several Ranking guides/posts is move to a new system with 2-3 empire minor factions in the system, doing as many Rep missions for those Empire factions in that system as possible and doing filler missions when Rep missions are not available, always returning to that system for another mission, as soon as you get a Navel mission complete it then move to a new system and start again, Dont do missions from other systems while your trying to rank up, it makes it harder for you to keep track of the systems you have already worked in so you end up having to travel further out to get a totally fresh system.

Edit- Im allied with Empire so allied with all Empire minor factions this is why i say only do missions in 1 system at a time as i cant track local standing.
