Newcomer / Intro Allied with Empire

Hey!

I've recently hit allied with Empire (outsider rank ) and I realized that I'm also allied with every minor fraction around. I've read that I should continue to farm with any neutral empire minor faction till I hit allied with them, then choose next empire faction and repeat, but I can't find anye neutral in inhabited part of galaxy...

Every minor faction also seems to be allied with me and from what I've heard there is huge diminishing return in the amount of reputation given....


Is this a bug?

You have to use your judgement based on how many missions you have done for the minor faction, and the quality of the missions they are offering. Once you think you might be really allied with them, move on. The Empire is particularly tricky as they have a few minor factions that control a lot of the decent systems (e.g Patrons Pricinples), you are likely to be at least friendly with them if you have been buming around for a while. You may have a little difficulty (not much, but it is an annoyance) to find a decent minor faction to work for.

Unless it has changed recently, you should be able to see your actual standing with the minor faction when you turn in a mission that affects your rep with them.

I am 40 Kylie from a mission, so cant check, but my understanding was that the bars were their system influence, not your standing.

Those bars with the up/down arrows that appear when you turn in a mission are the faction's relative standing in the system and direction of change.
