Dinosaurs Allow 2 T.Rexes

I don’t see the problem with allowing 2, but also don’t make it a must for 2. I don’t really understand why we only have room for one to begin with. Look at The lore, 7 were bred for the park. Is it too much to ask for second one lol

Exactly. Spinos 'fight' each other but they never try to kill each other.
At least when it comes to T.Rexes, we know they can get along in pairs from the film (in the context of the film not in real life which is more speculative).

I second this. It would be good if all dinosaurs would have territorial behavior, even a pack of raptor should have disputes with another pack in the same enclosure. they could till fight to kill or get uncomfortable if there is not enough territory to coexist [yesnod]

Speaking of territorial, I don't think I've seen carnivores actually inflict damage on each other or even cannibalize each other yet (which dinosaurs sometimes do) but, this is a topic for another post ;)

Good news everyone we can now have multiple Rex’s. Sadly it seems like when you increase the social stat maximum, it also increases the minimum which sucks.

Why does it suck? If you increase the social stats, it's because you want more than one Rex in the enclosure. Why should it not increase the minimum? Just remove the gene if you want a solitary one. I really don't understand this statement...

I haven't tested out the new stuff yet. I'll post again when I see how it works.

While its true all the dinosaurs in the game are female, that doesnt mean we cant have some leeway its a game after all. Pretty sure they will never add male dinosaurs or breeding so we have to make best with what we have.

I mean...they coooould try adding males as a modification as long as they add the possibility of dangerous levels of overpopulation.

They may try to add male dinosaurs and as for the population it is simple ... when the population is too large, it is only to sell the dinosaurs to control the population

The highly requested option to have two T.rexes get along together has finally been made available.

.... only if you pay $15 more. :(

I think that it would be awesome if TLW 1997 assets are ever released that a chromosome research option is created to modify select dinosaurs in the game into being male, complete with their own sounds.

I wish they would update several dinosaur species to be more social such as the T-Rex and if I remember correctly, the Allosaurus.

I find all this pretty interesting to think about. I agree with quite a few others that in their natural state, large predators would be very solitary, most likely with females establishing territory - a case of finding enough food for them and offspring - with males wandering between territories.

In the parks I think this really would mean an (all) female population would find it pretty difficult to live with each other in a relatively tiny space, in their natural state. Of course the animals are not in their natural state but I wouldn't find it a stretch to imagine juvenile (un-mature) females put up with each other when they're young, with the need to be alone only really kicking in once they reach reproductive maturity.

Stopping that maturity from happening, would seem to me, right up Dr Wu's alley though 'suppressed' teenagers, might tend to squabble a bit?

I’m having a lot of fun so far with the social gene manipulation. Only thing I’m not a huge fan of is that the social increase to say 4 to a Rex has to be 4 or else they are not happy. You can’t have a 1-4, it’s 4-4.
