I have tried the Conflict Zones - tried and failed to fly to one I found when scanning a planet - however because I flew in I had the option to bring the two Power Regulators I have acquired from Missions (a bug I will report in a moment). I tried using the power regulator in the normal slot but I could not get the power plant to take the Power Regulator in and start the power plant up. I think it would be nice to allow this to happen and potentially used elsewhere to power up some of the turrets etc elsewhere on the map - thought you might need bigger settlements to make it balance correctly.
Obviously you run the risk of the power regulators being stolen too so its potentially a nice addition to the PVP.
