As is you aren't allowed to repair your ship's Power Plant with an AFMU because the AFMU needs the Power Plant to power it.
All landing pads in the game super charge your ship's shields, meaning they are helping power your ship.
In the case that a CMDR is docked at a station/outpost/mega ship that has no ability repair, it would make sense to allow the CMDR who actually does carry a way to do ship repairs to take power from the station/outpost/mega ship to be able to stop relying on the ship's Power Plant for a while, and be able to repair it.
This would also allow CMDRs with two AFMUs to fully repair their ships (other than paintjob and ship integrity) at any landing pad.
