Almost there...

Greeting fellow explorers!

I've been off into the black (or lately not really that black) for a while now. To the point that I've got a very different beta save as there is no way I'll get back to populated space in time to do anything useful for testing, unless we actually upgrade exploration any time soon. Ehrm... that's another topic...

Aaanyway. I've been out for a while. It started as a search for carbon planets, re carbon stars but like really tiny and cold enough to be planet-like. So within the realm of brown dwarves, but with something in the somewhat limited data in the ED format we get presented in-game that suggest that good old C is the main element at play. Remember that Earth is largely made out of oxygen.

Nothing so far. Now I'm just scanning every galactic arm I come across, and hope to sample enough systems to make statistics on the data I find. The journey so far:

I might just have to stop on my way back at Jacques, just because it sits so poetically opposite my planned exit point from the Galactic Core on the opposing end of the Long Bar. Hopefully in a few months or however long it will take me to cross the Core, Jacques will still be there. Or if not, I'll move on.

My loyal companion and abode "Betsy" the Asp Explorer has so far held together fine, with only minor damage from diving into planetary rings and getting a bit close to neutron stars. I've been capturing images from my travels as I go. Here is the latest album, you can find more if you dare browse imgur:
