Alpha 1.1: Incursion.

Hi folks. Been playing the incursion scenario a fair bit. I can manage to get to wave 8, then no ships warp in. Is this a known bug?
 
No, that is something strange. Never had such problems during A1. Replayed it several times in A3 with no problems.
 
Yes, I've had that on a number of attempts.

Their jump clouds form for a short while, then... vanish. No ships, nothing.

I just pretend they were all too scared of me, and preferred to try their luck with a Thargoid mis-jump. :p

Happens a lot to me.

I think it depends on the tactics used. If you do "hit and run" and get too far away from the ships (dropping off radar, "contact lost") it seems more likely to happen.
 
Yeah I think this is probably a result of the 'fly in reverse' exploi-ahem-tactic. It means the dogfight gets strung out hugely, and the slower little ships get left behind so much that the game forgets about them.
 
I didn't talk about "reverse" tactics, since i'm not using it ;)

I do a front approach (on multiple small targets, not a cobra of course), then switching power to engines and boost out of range. That's what i meant with "hit and run" :)

If you boost too much, eventually some targets drop out of radar range...then you'll never find them again...

I usually fight Cobras head on. If you divert power to systems Cobras won't deal much damage to your shields as they are equipped with pulse lasers in Single Player.
