Alpha 2 timetable

So I can't wait for the release of Alpha 2 it is nearly here. Do we know what time it is released, has it been mentioned by anyone at Frontier?

Tempted to have the day off but that is a waste if it doesn't release until the afternoon.

What are you guys planning for the day? There is so much to do in this update it is going to feel like a new game. [yesnod]

The previous alpha was released around 11-12 gmt. Possible the same, but no definite answer on this, and I doubt there will be... Frontier will release it when they are ready too [happy]

I have taken the 25th off work [wink]

I know the UK is 11 hours behind New Zealand time. I googled it on my phone. I have a few girls on my Xbox 360 friends list who live in the UK. It's currently Monday 23 May 6:54 pm here. Tomorrow is Tuesday. I might stay up till 11:30pm tomorrow. By then, it will be Tuesday 24 May 12:30 pm in the UK. If they release it before 12:30 pm UK time, I'll be able to play it tomorrow. Sydney Australia is 2 hours behind New Zealand time. If not, I guess that's kind of false advertising saying something is out a particular day when it won't be. I know some companies/game developers, etc, try to take into consideration how forward time is in Australia and New Zealand, is with the rest of the world. I contacted Xbox Support as they said a particular Xbox 360 game would be out on a certain date. And they managed to get it out on the same day. But then again, Frontier could release it at 5 pm UK time, 3 pm, or 9 am. On Xbox One, new releases generally release or become playable, when it hits 12:01 am on the morning of a game's release date. But some games are soooo American or something that it won't be out until it's the release day in that country.
I'm not going to throw a huge fit if it doesn't come out before I need to go to sleep tomorrow night. The game could come out in the UK when NZ/Australia are in bed or the following day in school or work. Or it could come out when NZ/Australian peps like me are having dinner. Imagine if Frontier was in Australia or NZ. Then we'd definitely be the ones to get it first.

Planet Coaster search on Wikipedia. It mentions Alpha 2 will release "24 May". It doesn't say "24 May UK time". But it's no biggy. I just wish they release it 24 May NZ time not 25 May NZ time. I'm just kind of hyper and would like it to release tomorrow. But I'll settle for a 25th May. If they release it before 1pm UK time, it would have released on the 24th May for NZ.

At a guess, at some point tomorrow.

Why do we always get these threads around an Alpha release. When its ready it will be ready, could be 8am, could be 10pm (GMT) , or any time inbetween.

[ugh] That doesn't matter. It is irrelevant and the comment you made was probably (hopefully) playful but honestly there is nothing there that is close to false advertising. [happy]

They will not tell us exactly what time it is being released no matter how much we ask, this is to make sure their server don't suddenly collapse with every single one of us on at the same time clicking refresh I would imagine.

But they are not ..

They are not based on Christmas Island either. Maybe people there should sue Frontier for false advertising as well. I was having trouble reading the post due to lack of paragraphs, but once I read that bit I switched off.

Your not going to win people over with the old 'false advertising' bit. Given that you live on the other side of the world you should be used to it by now I would have thought.

Please tell me this entire post is a ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎ take...

A company announcing a date for release of their game/update/hounds means the date in the country where they are. They can't arbitrarily pick a time-zone that isn't theirs, just to please someone who doesn't understand how they work. When they release A2, it'll be available at exactly the same time as everyone else. Your local time is irrelevant.

This has got me wondering how old Skywaterbirdx16m is. It sounds like he has the old "after me you come first [cry]" syndrome.
