Parks Alpha 3 park underconstruction, come visit for the special september oppening. ^^

Hi all,
As My PC can't really follow and it takes me hours to adding stuff into my parks, I wanted to share one of them at it is still under-construction[big grin]....
Wouldn't be the first, though.
So There is no Name yet....and I tried <======(that's right) to make it the more simpliest possible for a matter of compatibility, but I think I failed in that way....
As I wanted to share this (likes my others parks still in construction) my first thougth was to share it when it will be finish.....but I move too slowly, So today it's gonna be ok for sharing it.
So....
Ladies and Gentlemen......Kids and grown peoples....

I hope You'll all enjoy it, and feel free to comment. I would like to improve myself in my future constructions. ^^
See you all.

Visting right now!

Maybe you can change the preview picture to avoid that people don´t visit the park because they think it will lag in matter of the amount of guests. As i opened the park i had 738 guests ;) So it should running fluid on most systems.

Likes:
- The first thing i´ve noticed are the maintance and delivery paths. Great touch! And very realistic!
- The park feels very organic and well thought out.
- I like also your queues line a LOT. They are very enjoyable!
- The idea with the coloring theme is awesome and in addition to your unique buildings something new (in your own style)!
- The T-Rex track coaster is much fun! An unexpected good ride! ;)
- I think you´ve find the perfect spot for a ferris wheel, too.
- I enjoyed also the queue line through the castle very much.
- The halloween´ish coaster is also much fun and is having some great ideas, too.
- Overall a great adventure and experience so far!

My impressions:
As i entered the park, i was like wow, wow, wow.. ridden the first coaster (T.Rex track) and i liked it. The second one was a bit boring somehow (the blue one). It feels like a cheap addition. The wing coaster.. well, in my opinion it is nice and fantastic but it breaks with the previous impressions a bit. It´s mostly the layout wich is compared to the other ones a bit too unrealistic. You put the guests from the beginning into a wonderworld with an awesome color theme. Then suddenly the theme is changing to grey. A good statement point for a break and opposition but for my taste a bit too rough or too much ;) Don´t get me wrong the park is great and it is just my own impression and don´t have to be fit with yours :D
I understand, that not all of the park should be bright, colorful and it needs some contrast but i think in your park it would fit better, how disney is doing such things. More subtle and the transitions are more harmonic.

I have the feeling that you´ve started with an idea and while the park was progressing, you got into a rush. It is not clear if you go for realism or fantasy or something fantastic. Nothing bad at all !!! It´s still creative which is a very good thing! Just how i see it.

The whole castle area is maybe too big. I loved the view of the mountain at the entrance! And in a screenshot on the steam workshop (that´s why i downloaded it ;) ). In a view in depth it feels like too massive, too tall in oposition to the rest of the park. The wing coaster in there (spoiler :D ) isn´t my thing. But it is having much unused potential (as the blue one is having it, too).

Maybe a better way would be: To integrate the mediaval village into the mountain, so it is giving a more complete feeling. A bit less mountain (less taller) and village, more compact would also fit better with your style at the beginning, i think.

The blue one could be more compact, more pointy and you would have more space for a transition from the colorful park to a more darker one.

Or maybe something like Expedition Everest would also fit perfect as castle themed area in that spot.

Sorry for the loooong review! But i think this park deserves it. It is having much potential and nice ideas, great corners and this is why i´ll keep it in my downloads, too. To see how it will be developed at the end. ;)

Good work! [up]

Hey Funny-Speed-Spin
First, Thanks for the reply^^, and yeah I should change the picture, but It's the only one I've got for now as my recording/scrrenshot program is experiencing some....bugs[haha]
It would be when I'll have the time.

Didn't expect a such long answer, I wasn't ready for this, [haha]
I'm happy to see that you loved the littles details, they are more noticable since the park is pretty small, and in a few numbers because I didn't want to have to much scenary and stuff to make the park runs the smoothier possible.

Well, For explaining a bit, I didn't start with any idea, I just wanted to try different things, and see how I could make them work together. I made Big coaster tracks, except for the blue one, and to be honnest It wasn't my intention.
In Fact I wanted to create compact Coasters, but It seems like I don't know how to do that. [haha] The Blue coaster is in this case, a succes in some sort. But as you can see It is not as fun as the others. But In Real life....I think It would be pretty fun and scary to ride, because of the sensations it would generate.
I tested a lot of thing on this track, get frustrated a bit because of some alphas bug like block break stopping all my running cars, even if the next block section is empty, so I had to tweek it a lot.

Also discover a funny thing about the Lift-Chains and Driving-tyres.
It seems that we have the possibily to change the speed of a same lift-hill on different section of the track. That allowed me to slow the train at the end of the lift ^^. I don't know if it was intended, but I love this feature, As I already try it out and it didn't work on the previous alphas.

So the theming followed the same path than the rest of the park....Just do, see how it works later. [haha]
This explain the pretty weird feeling of disharmony in the park. I sure intend to work this out later, work the transitions and stuffs.

I love the Idea of a medieval village into the mountain, and had it for sure [big grin].
But as I said, It had to be simple, and the coaster track being...Massive lol, It would cost to much in term of ressources to build an entier village into the "mountain".

Maybe for a next project...
As I work on multiples parks at once, I move slowly. But This park should get an update soon. At least sooner than the other one [wink]

Thanks a lot for the review, It is nice to exchange ideas and point of vue. I couldn't done it without the community wich is a great inspiration I have to admit. And others ideas, Others way of thinking, seeing, this is just perfect for growing, and keep moving.
So Thanks again [yesnod].
I hope You'll like my other unfinished project as well.

See you.

:D Yeah, sorry it was in cas e bit long ;) I like the way of thinking. You can make in many directions layout a park and adding details. But i think you´ve found a very good balance! Not too much but also not too less. Just right! Keep that :D

I tested it and it didn´t worked :( Would be sooo great to have that ability!!! Could be a bug then but a very cool one. If this is working, i hope we get it as feature! And very helpful / functional.

Your´re welcome! ;) That´s the awesome part of the community and ever was :D I´m excited what you are having in your hat! Let me know if something is ready to show! Keep up the good work!

And thank you for the reply! :)

@Emsay, you can take a screen shot by pressing F12 and the going to your Steam game library and right clicking on Planet Coaster and selecting Screenshots. This will open a small window with your screenshots. At the bottom of this window you see a button marked "Show on disk". By selecting this, it will open the file location where the screenshots are stored. You can then either edit the one you want or use that path to upload the selected screen shot to your photo storage site and post as usual.

I hope that helps with a work around for your program that is "buggy".

Funny_Speed_Spin, I think It is a bug, you have to set the speed of the lift-chain when you are adding it. if you modify the speed once the hill is finish, all section of tracks will be set to your new speed. So it only works when you're adding a track section.

Hey Parkmaker, thanks for the tip. I'll try. I know it works on my other Steam games, but strangely, it didn't work the first time I've tried on PC.

Looks good so far, the wing coaster is especially LEGIT. [pirate]

It's interesting watching the guests at the entrance, I only did this as I was like o 3240 people but where are they all.. Most seem to circle around that area

9wXqgvA.jpg

Pro photoshop skillz, they walk in a circle then get stuck in the middle bit, sped through 2 in-game days and the crowd never died down. [haha]

I noticed that too, [haha] It's because they want to buy Priority-pass.
I find that if your disconnect the main path to the park, guest will not come. And if you do that, first thing they'll do when you open the park is go to the closest Information booth and creat massive trafic-jam [haha].
This is inavoidable. So I thought I could use it to my advantage and make them pack up in front of the main gate....like in real Theme-park [big grin]
That explain the walk-circle. ^^
too bad the time-scale is so fast... because in real life, they stand here for around 45min. [haha]
