Alpha 3?

Hey, sorry if this has already been asked/ announced but I was just wondering if there is an official date/ period of time in which we can expect alpha 3??

No official information as of now, but I can tell you this: Alpha 3 of Planet Coaster will be announced as soon as Frontier is ready to do so, and not earlier than that. Frontier wants to make sure every feature of Alpha 3 works as good as they can get it to work, and Frontier wants to keep the quality bar high.

Stay tuned, there are a lot of amazing features to come and Frontier is doing a fantastic job so far. [big grin]

My guess is mid to late August with them starting to become more active with the community and previewing more stuff again from the end of July.

Bear in mind this is the alpha which is meant to include some of management stuff which is a big feature to get right.

Say it’s a late July release, then surely an announcement of some sort is imminent, if like before we have 3 weeks of ‘live Streams’, I assume that would be the case.

Just keep in mind the guys and girls at Frontier would like to go on holiday as well...so I think we might be looking more at halfway July or otherwise end of August/beginning September. [cool]

According to Wikipedia, the full completed version game of Planet Coaster is due out "Q4 2016". Maybe a month or two or three at most.

What I would like is water, all the rides in the Planet Coaster official announcement trailer, and the delete/bulldozer tool so we can use it to delete anything and everything we want. The bulldozer does work for coasters and rides, currently with the Alpha 2, but not for everything. Maybe there may be an Alpha 4 then they'll go straight to Beta then final version. But it's down to what sort of schedule Frontier has for the game.

But for an incomplete game, Planet Coaster is fun and really good. It's playable without lots of issues. And I love the ideas they put behind the game. It looks great. Easy to use building tools. And you can play and create your own fun world. It's like Minecraft. Just without multiplayer and mobs. It would be interesting though if (unlikely) they made this game multiplayer. You could play with others with your Frontier account, you can join their created worlds and play on them, and they could join your worlds and play on them. The Sims 4 is also a good simulation game too. But it also has no multiplayer. I don't really mind if they keep this game single player.

I'm assuming we'll get more information after they finish with the contest due July 1st, so probably mid July they'll be announcing the dates/livestreams/etc.
